Open technique
With this technique, most of the incisions are made inside the nose, with the exception of one in the cartilage that separates the two nostrils. Closed technique
More experienced surgeons should handle a closed technique, because all incisions are done inside the nose. What happens is that the cartilage is pulled out from inside the nose and then modified or reshaped. This procedure generally is much faster compared than an open rhinoplasty, and leaves no visible scars. However, it should be noted again that an extremely experienced surgeon must do this.

Nasal Implants
Nasal implants are usually done by a rhinoplasty surgeon when a patient wants a more prominent appearance to the nose or give it height. Nasal implants can come in different varieties, the most common of which are silicone and gortex.
